Château Margaux 2008 represents the classic style of this famous first cru. Although the summer was not easy in terms of weather, the sunny autumn allowed the grapes to ripen ideally. Thanks to very careful selection, a wine was created that combines the purity of expression, firm structure and elegance for which Château Margaux has been valued for decades.
On the nose, it offers ripe dark fruit, blackcurrant and delicate floral notes, complemented by cedar wood, graphite and a subtle spiciness. On the palate, it is concentrated and precise, with a firm but perfectly balanced structure. Silky tannins, lively acidity and a long mineral finish give the wine a noble character and significant potential for further maturation. Although it is already starting to open, it still retains its youthful energy and will continue to develop in the bottle.
Serve at a temperature of 16-18 ° C. We recommend decanting for at least 1-2 hours before serving. It goes perfectly with beef, lamb, game or mature hard cheeses.

Château Margaux
Château Margaux is located in the commune of the same name in the Haut-Médoc region and is one of the most famous wine estates in Bordeaux. Along with Lafite, Latour, and Haut-Brion, it is one of the four estates awarded the Premier Cru (1st Growth) category during the original Bordeaux Médoc classification of 1855.
Margaux is generally considered the most elegant of the 1st Growths and is consistently among the most expensive wines in the world. The dominant blend of Cabernet Sauvignon is complemented by a small amount of Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc.
The vineyard at Château Margaux has a complex combination of soils unique to this area. They consist of chalky clay beneath a top layer of coarse and fine gravel, which is very well-suited for Cabernet Sauvignon.
