Pavillon Rouge du Château Margaux 2008 represents a classic Bordeaux vintage, in which elegance, freshness and the ability to mature for a long time stood out. The cooler and slower ripening process allowed the distinctive structure and typical aromatic purity of the varieties to be preserved, which is one of the important features of the Margaux wines' character.
The aroma gradually develops black fruit, currants, plums and subtle tones of cedar, tobacco and spices. The taste is balanced, with a firmer structure, fresh acidity and tannins that are now well integrated. The wine still has enough energy and at the same time offers the complexity that comes from more than fifteen years of bottle aging.
Serve at a temperature of 16–18 °C, we recommend decanting approximately 60 minutes before serving. It is suitable for beef, lamb, game or mature hard cheeses.

Château Margaux
Château Margaux is located in the commune of the same name in the Haut-Médoc region and is one of the most famous wine estates in Bordeaux. Along with Lafite, Latour, and Haut-Brion, it is one of the four estates awarded the Premier Cru (1st Growth) category during the original Bordeaux Médoc classification of 1855.
Margaux is generally considered the most elegant of the 1st Growths and is consistently among the most expensive wines in the world. The dominant blend of Cabernet Sauvignon is complemented by a small amount of Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc.
The vineyard at Château Margaux has a complex combination of soils unique to this area. They consist of chalky clay beneath a top layer of coarse and fine gravel, which is very well-suited for Cabernet Sauvignon.
