Pavillon Rouge du Château Margaux 2004 represents the classic style of the second wine of this famous First Growth from the Margaux appellation. The 2004 vintage in Bordeaux was a year of balance and a relatively long growing season, which allowed the Cabernet Sauvignon to ripen well while maintaining its freshness. The result is a wine built on elegance, finesse, and harmony, with a character typical of the gravelly soils of Margaux.
On the nose, it offers ripe notes of black fruit, red currant, and subtle spice, complemented by hints of cedarwood and autumnal tones that have gradually developed with age. The palate is smooth, featuring fine tannins, good freshness, and an elegant structure. After nearly two decades of aging, it is now in a very pleasant phase, where the fruit character integrates with more complex tertiary notes and the classic, noble expression of Margaux.
Serve at a temperature of 16–18 °C. We recommend a short decantation of approximately 30–60 minutes, depending on the condition of the bottle. It will excellently accompany roast beef, lamb, game, or mature cheeses.

Château Margaux
Château Margaux is located in the commune of the same name in the Haut-Médoc region and is one of the most famous wine estates in Bordeaux. Along with Lafite, Latour, and Haut-Brion, it is one of the four estates awarded the Premier Cru (1st Growth) category during the original Bordeaux Médoc classification of 1855.
Margaux is generally considered the most elegant of the 1st Growths and is consistently among the most expensive wines in the world. The dominant blend of Cabernet Sauvignon is complemented by a small amount of Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc.
The vineyard at Château Margaux has a complex combination of soils unique to this area. They consist of chalky clay beneath a top layer of coarse and fine gravel, which is very well-suited for Cabernet Sauvignon.
