Pavillon Rouge du Château Margaux 2010 comes from an exceptional Bordeaux vintage, which brought ideal conditions for the creation of wines with strong concentration, firm structure and long aging potential. As the second wine of Château Margaux, it reflects the philosophy of this château – an emphasis on elegance, precision and balance instead of sheer power.
On the nose, it offers a rich expression of ripe black fruit, cassis, plums and subtle tones of graphite, cedar and spices. On the palate, it is fuller and more concentrated than many other Pavillon Rouge vintages, yet it retains the typical Margaux finesse. The tannins are firm but cultivated, the acidity gives the wine freshness and the long finish confirms its ability to develop further.
Serve at a temperature of 16–18 °C, we recommend decanting 1–2 hours before serving. It will accompany mature beef, lamb, game or dishes with a stronger sauce.

Château Margaux
Château Margaux is located in the commune of the same name in the Haut-Médoc region and is one of the most famous wine estates in Bordeaux. Along with Lafite, Latour, and Haut-Brion, it is one of the four estates awarded the Premier Cru (1st Growth) category during the original Bordeaux Médoc classification of 1855.
Margaux is generally considered the most elegant of the 1st Growths and is consistently among the most expensive wines in the world. The dominant blend of Cabernet Sauvignon is complemented by a small amount of Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc.
The vineyard at Château Margaux has a complex combination of soils unique to this area. They consist of chalky clay beneath a top layer of coarse and fine gravel, which is very well-suited for Cabernet Sauvignon.
