Product detailed description

The ideal gift for comparing flavours: each bottle reveals a different character of Bordeaux.

A gift that isn't just opened. It's opened like a story.

Looking for a gift for someone who loves quality wine and enjoys thinking about it? Discover Bordeaux is six bottles from six different wineries and six appellations. The recipient can compare them side by side and see how one of the most famous wine regions in the world changes from appellation to appellation. Lighter, fresher wines alongside deeper ones with a velvety structure. It is precisely in these differences that the greatest experience lies.

The set comes with the Vinodi tasting card. On it you will find a map of Bordeaux, the recommended tasting order, a short description of each wine and winery, a pairing tip and space for your own notes and ratings. The set is therefore not just a box of bottles, but a complete tasting evening in gift form.

Who the gift is ideal for

  • for connoisseurs and beginner wine lovers who want to explore Bordeaux in more depth,
  • for couples and friends who enjoy tasting together,
  • as a corporate gift or a thank-you with a personal touch.

What you'll find in the set and why these wines

Order Wine and appellation Character of the wine and winery Why it's in the set
1 Château Réaut 2017
Cadillac Côtes de Bordeaux
A wine that remains elegant and approachable even in the challenging 2017 vintage. The winery lies on the hilly right bank of the Garonne. Pair with veal or delicate cheeses. A light and open start to the tasting. It showcases a lesser-known appellation that most wine lovers know only by name.
2 Château La Tonnelle 2019
Haut-Médoc
A classic left-bank style, with structure, freshness and varietal precision. Pair with roast duck or lamb. The left-bank representative. A counterpoint to the right-bank wines in the set.
3 Château de Pitray 2018
Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux
A traditional château from the eastern part of Bordeaux, a refined and fruity wine with rounded tannins. Pair with grilled meat or mushroom risotto. It shows that outstanding Bordeaux need not come only from the best-known appellations.
4 Château Croix Mouton 2017
Bordeaux Supérieur
An approachable and harmonious wine, an ideal introduction to the Bordeaux style. Pair with herb-roasted chicken or soft cheeses. The cornerstone of the set. Bordeaux Supérieur is the "heart" of the region, a good place to start the comparison.
5 Château Moulin Haut-Villars 2016
Fronsac
Fronsac offers a velvety structure and depth that many connoisseurs seek out. Pair with beef braised in red wine or game ragù. The first of two wines from Fronsac and its surroundings. It shows what the right bank can do.
6 Château Canon Pécresse 2014
Canon-Fronsac
Canon-Fronsac is among the most respected terroirs of the right bank. It is the oldest vintage in the set, more mature and deeper. Pair with steak or hard aged cheeses. A full, deep finale to the tasting. You can compare it directly with the Fronsac from bottle no. 5.

Why taste Bordeaux by appellation?

The same grape varieties produce a different wine on different soil and in a different microclimate. Comparing six bottles side by side is the fastest way to find out which style suits you best. And for the person receiving the set, it is a chance to experience Bordeaux as a story, not just a label.

Tasting order tip

Start with the lighter wines (Réaut, La Tonnelle, Pitray), continue with Croix Mouton and finally save the two Fronsac wines, Moulin Haut-Villars and Canon Pécresse, for the end. You will find the detailed order on the Vinodi tasting card.
