Product detailed description
Château Sociando-Mallet 2016 comes from one of the best-rated vintages of recent decades. Although the winery does not carry the historical classification from 1855, it has long been one of the most respected names in Haut-Médoc. Its wines are known for their solid structure, longevity and emphasis on the pure expression of the Cabernet Sauvignon variety.
Ripe black fruit, cedar, graphite and subtle spicy notes develop on the nose. The taste is concentrated, but at the same time very precise and balanced. Firmer tannins give the wine structure, which is complemented by fresh acidity and a long finish. Although the wine is already pleasantly drinkable, further aging will bring it even greater finesse and depth.
Serve at a temperature of 16–18 °C. We recommend decanting at least 1–2 hours before serving. It will accompany beef, lamb, game or mushroom dishes perfectly.

Château Sociando Mallet
This winery is located on the left bank of the Bordeaux wine region, in the commune of Saint-Seurin-de-Cadourne, north of Saint-Estèphe. Despite its classification as only 'Cru Bourgeois' (in recent years, it hasn't carried any classification), the wines produced here are of exceptional quality. The former owners were against the château being included in the 1855 classification, but today, tasters often rank it on the level of a 2ème Grand Cru Classé.
The average age of the vines is 35 years, composed of 42% Cabernet Sauvignon, 54% Merlot, and 4% Cabernet Franc.
