Product detailed description

A very unusual dry white wine from Sauternes, an area renowned for its sweet, botrytized wines. It comes from the famous Château Guiraud and retains the unique refreshing aromatic characteristics of the region's wines. The flavor is exceptionally rich, yet sufficiently fresh and lively.

The wine has a light yellow color with green reflections. When swirled in the glass, refreshing notes of pink grapefruit, orange, white flowers, lemon, passion fruit, and juniper are released. The taste starts gently and delicately, followed by a rich and smooth structure. The long, refreshing finish is supported by a well-balanced acidity. This cuvée is harmonious, with a distinct Sauvignon Blanc flavor and the fullness of Semillon, creating a beautifully balanced and complex experience.

Château Guiraud

Château Guiraud is located in the Sauternes appellation. The wine from Château was classified as Premier Cru in the Bordeaux classification of 1855. Today, this winery is the only Premier Cru Classé certified as an organic winery.

The vineyard covers approximately 85 hectares and is planted with the Sémillon and Sauvignon Blanc varieties. The soil is sandy-gravelly and clayey, which, due to its moisture-retaining properties, contributes to the spread of Botrytis cinerea (noble rot).
