Chateau Suduiraut
Château Suduiraut is one of the most prestigious estates in the Sauternes region of southern Bordeaux. Its history dates back to the 17th century, when the magnificent château was built and surrounded by meticulously tended vineyards. The estate benefits from an exceptional terroir, where the morning mists from the Ciron river meet the warmth of the nearby Garonne, creating perfect conditions for the development of the noble rot Botrytis cinerea that gives Sauternes its legendary character.
Classified as a Premier Cru Classé de Sauternes in 1855, Château Suduiraut has long stood among the finest producers of Bordeaux. Today, it belongs to the AXA Millésimes group, which manages a collection of renowned wine estates across Europe, combining traditional craftsmanship with modern winemaking expertise.
Covering around 90 hectares, the vineyards are planted mainly with Sémillon complemented by Sauvignon Blanc. These varieties yield wines of remarkable depth, elegance, and longevity—whether in the form of the château’s iconic sweet Sauternes or its refined dry white wine, Le Blanc Sec de Suduiraut, which showcases a fresher, mineral expression of the same exceptional terroir.
Every wine from Château Suduiraut embodies precision, balance, and a distinctive nobility that reflects the long history and timeless character of this remarkable estate in the heart of Sauternes.
