Product detailed description
Château Lilian Ladouys 2019 shows a more elegant and accessible side of Saint-Estèphe. The nose combines notes of blackcurrant, plum and delicate flowers, complemented by a touch of spice and cedar wood. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied, balanced and finely structured, with silky tannins and a beautifully pure fruit expression. It is great for early consumption, but with proper storage it will continue to refine and gain complexity.

Château Lilian Ladouys
Château Lilian Ladouys is located in the heart of the Saint-Estèphe appellation and is one of the traditional estates with a history dating back to the 16th century. The château flourished during the 18th and 19th centuries, when its wines were highly sought after in Paris and on international markets. In recent years, the estate has undergone a major revival, particularly after 2008 when it was acquired by the Lorenzetti family, who also own other prestigious Bordeaux properties.
The vineyard covers about 80 hectares, planted mainly with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, complemented by Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. The gravelly soils of Saint-Estèphe with their clay subsoil give the wines their distinctive structure, power, and longevity.
Winemaking emphasizes careful handling of the grapes, combining traditional methods with modern techniques. The wines are aged in oak barrels, a proportion of which are new, to achieve balance between fruit expression and subtle oak notes.
Wines from Château Lilian Ladouys are a fine example of the Saint-Estèphe style – deep, concentrated, and structured, with firm tannins that soften beautifully over time. At the same time, they retain elegance and accessibility even when young, making them a popular choice for lovers of classic Bordeaux.
