Product detailed description
A characteristic wine from the northern part of the Médoc with a typical firmer structure. The aromas offer black fruit, light smokiness and herbal notes. The taste is juicy, well-structured and gradually develops into a longer, slightly spicy finish. The 2005 vintage gives the wine excellent depth and elegance.

Château Les Ormes de Pez
Château Les Ormes de Pez is located in the small village of Pez in the Saint-Estèphe appellation. The estate was previously classified as Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel, and when this classification was formally abolished in 2011, it became part of the marketing group Les Exceptionnels with five other former Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel estates.
The winery is owned by Jean-Michel Cazes from Château Lynch-Bages in Pauillac. In 1981, he invested significantly in this winery and installed new stainless steel vats, which substantially improved the quality of the wines from good to sensational. The wine ages in barrels for twelve to fifteen months. This relatively inexpensive wine is quite a good equivalent of a good Cru Classé.
