Product detailed description
Château La Tour de By 2011 impresses with its deep ruby colour and distinctive aromas of dark berries, subtle smokiness and a touch of oak. The wine is fuller on the palate, with a combination of blackberries, blueberries and slightly toasted notes. Firm but ripe tannins lead to a longer, elegantly dry finish. A classic, honest Médoc from a traditional château.

Château La Tour de By
Founded in 1599, Château La Tour de By is one of the oldest wineries in Médoc. The name 'By' is derived from the location of the vineyards, and 'La Tour' from the tower that dominates the estate. The château itself was built in 1876.
The vineyard spans 74 hectares, with the grape variety distribution as follows: 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, and 5% Petit Verdot. The vines are at least 40 years old, with some even reaching up to 100 years. The soil is gravelly, typical of the Médoc region.
